Installation view of Making it Matters, 2024. Photo: Dan Leung, M+, Hong Kong.

This motion graphics piece was created in collaboration with the great Ka Wah Liu, for Making It Matters, a space within the M+ Museum in Hong Kong dedicated to the global story of ceramics. Spanning across eight synchronized screens in a panoramic format, the video traces the historical journey of ceramics — from its origins in Jingdezhen, China, through centuries of export and innovation, to its evolving role in contemporary culture.
I was responsible for the motion design, shaping a visual narrative that blends historical texture with modern aesthetics. The piece combines archival references, animated textures, and dynamic transitions to reflect both the craftsmanship and cultural resonance of ceramics across time and geography.
